Karin Schönpflug is an economist with a degree from the University of Vienna, Austria. She has worked in the Austrian Ministry of Finance and is now a researcher at the Institute for Higher Studies, where she is working in applied economics. She has been teaching economics and transdisciplinary studies at Universities in Austria and in the US. Her academic interests involve radical feminist methodologies and elements of queer theories; she has been connecting feminist economics with utopian approaches. Lately she has been wondering, how neoliberal rhetorics influence queer subjectivities and heterodox economics.
